Description
Back in 1997, while living in Nairobi, Kenya, I had the privilege of visiting Lake Nakuru National Park. I remember getting a bit to close to this Lion. He crossed the dirt road and laid down on the bank at the side of the road. The female followed him laid down a bit farther away. He stayed right on the roadside bank keeping his eyes on me. I think he was protecting the female. When I put the window down in our vehicle, to take a picture, he started growling. That's when my husband quickly backed up to give the lion more space. But, I did have enough time to snap a photo. Original painting on a 6x6 tile.
